Research Interests
I am currently working at a project on Mountain Plover which is a species of conservation concern. This project that I started this summer during my research apprenticeship attempts to genetically determine whether females mate with multiple males. The understanding of the mating system is critical to its conservation and so far observation determined that plovers are mainly monogamous but there was some evidence of extra-pair copulations.
