Research Interests

I am currently working to evaluate the genetic relationship between wood frogs (Rana sylvatica) populations from different ponds within the Rocky Mountain National Park.  Close to two hundred DNA samples have been extracted from wood frog eggs and evaluated using microsatellites.  This analysis will provide further insight into the breeding habits, genetic diversity, and environmental/ecological impact upon the wood frog population within the Rocky Mountain National Park.

Outside of lab I enjoy playing the violin and singing mariachi music, sports, and volunteering my time to help others.
